E’ la frase che gli americani volevano ascoltare da quasi 10 anni. “Osama Bin Laden è morto!” Queste parole sono state anticipate dall’11 settembre 2001. Dopo i sanguinosi attentati che hanno ucciso oltre 3.000 persone su suolo americano, gli Stati Uniti sono entrati in guerra, cercando di rintracciare l’ideatore di tali atti terribili. Il 1 ° maggio 2011, ha portato parole di giustizia a tutti coloro che hanno perso persone care in quegli attentati, e in altri in tutto il mondo.
Come americano ed ex moglie di un soldato americano, queste parole hanno suscitato lacrime di gioia e sentimenti di festa in casa mia. Cori di “USA! USA!”

Al-Qaeda ha minacciato e ha condotto attacchi contro gli Stati Uniti ei suoi alleati. Bin Laden è stato al primo posto della lista di ricercati dell’FBI sin da prima degli attacchi terroristici del 9 / 11.

It’s the phrase Americans have wanted to hear for nearly 10 years. “Osama Bin Laden is dead!” Those words have been anticipated since September 11, 2001. After the deadly attacks that killed over 3,000 people on American soil, the United States has been at war and trying to track down the mastermind of those terrible acts. On May 1, 2011, the words brought justice to all those who lost loved ones in those attacks and others around the world.
As an American and the former wife of an American soldier these words have brought tears of joy and feelings of celebration to my home. Chants of “USA! USA!” broke out at a baseball game when the death was announced and are still being heard at gatherings all over the country. I have been watching the celebrations at the White House and at Ground Zero in New York; I wish I could be there. I celebrate from my home. I write this in celebration.
Not only was the United States brought to its knees on September 11, 2001 but the world was also in grave danger. Al-Qaeda has threatened and carried out attacks on the U.S. and its allies. Bin Laden has been on the FBI’s Most Wanted List since before the 9/11 terror attacks.
Declaring “justice has been done” President Barrack Obama announced the death late Sunday evening after the death was confirmed. A small team of Special Ops soldiers found Bin Laden in Pakistan in a densely populated area. He resisted being arrested/captured. Soldiers engaged in a firefight with Bin Laden who was shot in the head and killed. Reports say that three other adult men were killed in the firefight and one of them is believed to be Bin Laden’s son. Bin Laden’s body, which is in U.S. custody, will be handled in accordance with Islamic practice and tradition.
“Bin Laden was not a Muslim leader. He was a mass murderer of Muslims,” President Barrack Obama said during his address. “So his demise should be welcomed by all who believe in peace and human dignity.”
In the wake of his death, US officials warn of possible terror threats as a result of Bin Laden’s death. They ask Americans and the World to be vigilant and wary of possible attacks.
The words deserve to be celebrated and repeated. Osama Bin Laden is dead. Osama Bin Laden IS dead.
